The app
Your writing and the app’s data stay on your device, in folders you choose. If you keep a project in iCloud Drive, Dropbox or another sync service, that service’s terms cover the copies it holds.
Nothing is sent to an AI provider unless you send it. When you do, the provider you chose receives what you sent, and its terms cover what happens next. You can turn AI off completely with one switch in Settings › General › Intelligence.
The app collects crash reports so we can fix what goes wrong. They come through Apple’s own crash reporting, which shares a report with the developer only if you’ve chosen to share analytics with app developers on your device. Arq uses no other crash-reporting or analytics service.
